This Entry is dedicated to some of the most Epic title victories that I can recall. So it back relax, and appreciate my gift of allowing you to relive the awesomeness of classic title changes! Hold on because I'm about to take you on a journey!
I can remember as clear as day the god forsaken day that Vince McMahon decided that John Cena was the "Hulk Hogan" of this generation's fan base, who I think personally, are mostly very stupid children who want the product to be all "sizzle" and no "steak." That is everything that John Cena stands for. He's all "sizzle" and no "steak" There is ZERO substance to this guy as hard as he works. I give him props for working his ass off for the company and yadda yadda yadda yadda but this whole "Invincible SuperCena" gimmick is enough to make me want to set myself on fire. And so it was from the time he defeated JBL at whatever Mania he got his first title shot. He desecrated the WWE title and made it look like a damn hood onimant hanging from a drug dealer's stolen car in the projects and somehow convinced these countless ignorantly oblivious casual fans (children, women, etc.) that make up the entity of all that is vile and evil in professional wrestling known as the Cenation, even though it started off as the "Chain Gang" but that is neither here nor there. I suppose Vince decided against targeted the audience whom Cena was actually appealing to originally with his "Doctor Of Thuganomics" gimmick which would be the 18 - 30 male demographic to all the snot nosed, suburban, white kids who now worship the ground John Cena walks on. I guess he figured their would be more revenue in the end and maybe he was right but he showed how much he appreciated all the years of loyalty the fans from the Attitude Era gave his company.
Hey Vince...PISS OFF!!! Anyway, after years of dealing with Cena being shoved down our throats the Rated R Superstar, Edge FINALLY saved us and took the title off the King of the Wiggernation! As I mentioned before, Edge is one of my ALL TIME favorite professional wrestlers and him winning me over as a fan started with that MAGIC MOMENT he cashed in his Money In The Bank to win his very first WWE Championship! To steal a phrase from The MIz that shit was AAAAAAAAWWWWWWEEEESSSSSOOOOOMMMMMMMMEEEEE!!!!
Now I've never been a big Jeff Hardy fan. The guy who holds his elbow when he gets suplexed on his back. All of his flashing moves and he really doesn't have much a mat arsenal and to boot his mic skills are CRAP. But I also knew the demographic that was jumping on his damn bandwagon when the WWE decided to shove him down our throats. Actually, I'm not going to say "our" anymore because I'm an educated professional wrestling fan. I'm not a casual fan that is like a damn sheep being lead to the slaughter having no damn idea about what is really going on around me. I don't hold anything against the casual wrestling fan but let's call a spade a spade, I am a REAL professional wrestling fan and I refuse to put myself in the same category of someone who cheers for who the WWE tells me to cheer for and boos for who the WWE wants me to boo for. I heard Eric Bischoff mention fans like me as the 10%ers.
Fans like me have also been called "Smart Marks" and on and on and so forth. Call me or fans like me what you want but the fact remains I don't fall for bullshit and I don't praise a company that produces a shitty product. If that upsets you WWE step it up and make better product and you'll earn my money. Anyways, back on topic, CM Punk cashed in his Money In The Bank on Jeff Hardy and went Heel saving us from the ridiculousness Jeff Hardy brought into our living rooms via television screen or live in person when he wasn't high as a damn kite.
Go figure. CM Punk this year has brought back some excitement to the WWE by, guess what, DEFEATING SUPERCENA in his home town of Chicago! Here's the thing about this win for those who don't know, he was actually not signed to a WWE contract prior to this match so if he won the title he could walk into New Japan Pro Wrestling or Ring Of Honor (two organizations he actually mentioned on an EPIC shoot/promo that got the hype for this match started) with the WWE title. But if Bret Hart was forbidden to do it there was no chance that Punk would have a chance, right? Right??? Thank God I was wrong. CM Punk is the champion and representative and all the "Smart Marks" the WWE has mocked and ridiculed for not being totally mindless zombies to their product and actually calling them out on their bullshit. Punk has taken the WWE product to another level and seemingly started a movement of change in the company because they have finally gotten it through their head they need to start MAKING Superstars instead in giving them the "Good Luck In Your Future Endeavors" send off. Last but not least...I LOVE LOVE LOVE seeing Cena LOSE LOSE LOSE!!!
My final moment for now, only because Hurricane Irene is threatening to end the world as I know it, will be when Orton defeated Triple H for the WWE title in 2009. Do I really need to explain this? Triple H with the belt is like...well...it's just WRONG and BORING. It's like watching two dudes going at it if you ask me. It is DISGUSTING and UNBEARABLE to watch.
So Triple H, The Game, The King of Kings has the belt and everyone wants to see him lose it. Orton has already punted Vince in the head and DDTed Stephanie right in front of The Game's face while he was handcuffed to the ropes. It is only a matter of time before Triple H has to drop the title to Orton and when he finally did I thoroughly enjoyed it. I know the AGONY of SuperCena as champion but the Plague of The Game with that title is something that is HORROR BEYOND WORDS!!!
